Residential DSL
Installation
SuperPA Residential DSL
installation requires that you be within 18,000 cable feet (approx. 3
miles) of a local Sprint terminal. This can be through either
underground cables, overhead lines, or a combination of both. The
closer you are to a local Sprint terminal the faster your connection
will be.
SuperPA Residential DSL
requires the installation of low-pass "LP" filters on all
DSL lines that are used in conjunction with any type of phone device.
(i.e. fax machines, portable phones, telephones, answering machines, etc.)

These
filters are low-pass filters -- simple filters that block all signals
above a certain frequency. The LP filters must be installed
"inline" before the telephone device. Since all voice
conversations take place below 4 KHz, the low-pass (LP) filters are
built to block everything above 4 KHz, preventing the data signals
from interfering with standard telephone calls, fax transmissions, etc.

Required low-pass filters are included in all SuperPA.Net
professional DSL installations. |
